Changing Gears

When Jen takes a cycling tour in France, she never expects to have her world turned upside down by Abi, a charming, Scottish travel writer. Their intense two weeks together leave Jen questioning herself, her conservative upbringing, and her future. How can she return to life as a private girls school teacher in Sydney when things don't feel the same? No matter how hard she tries, she can't stop thinking about Abi.

To complicate matters, Jen is pulled into dirty school politics when a girl in her Year 10
English class is subjected to homophobic bullying. A situation she would normally avoid, Jen instead finds herself embroiled in family and school confrontations as she attempts to defend her student.

As the situation spirals, Abi reappears in her life. Jen is torn -- will she dare to stand up to her family and the school, and fight for what’s right, even if it means risking her job and her reputation? Will Jen find the courage to be true to herself, despite the costs?
